Description
The sensor head is a sealed enclosure housing the optical filters and detectors, which are sensitive to moisture. This flag is raised when the average internal relative humidity exceeds safe levels, as prolonged exposure can degrade optical coatings and calibration. It is also triggered by abnormally low humidity readings, which are associated with filter wheel errors rather than a true dryness condition. (Model T only.)
Condition(s)
Flag if - anything if Filter Wheel is flagged
How To Check/Test
Only Model T instruments: Check for increase of humidity inside sensor head (Rel_Humidity_Head) anything above 50% is a concern. Check for excessive dark current spikes (Dark_SI & Dark_INGAAS)
Solution Level 1 (< 5 minutes)
Model T: Monitor Dark current during nighttime measurements for negative spikes
Solution Level 2 (more involved)
nan
Solution Level 3 (last resort)
1. Return instrument for maintenance
